Our local ferry was made by Austal.

It is the most foul-handling, ill behaved vessel we've had in the last 40 years. As the life-line to an island, that's not good news.

Some of their other boats were fine, but proceed with caution.

Oh, and ours crashed into yet another boat/dock just this week.

As I say, we've had other craft from them that have been great. They just, on occassion, build a stinker.

The proportions do not really seem off at all to me, can't see it being "top heavy", keep in mind the 7.93m beam (26ft) for an 81 footer.

Normally an 81' yacht would not have a third deck, it would end on the flybridge deck, then it had the sat domes another 5' + above that. It looks awefully tall for an 81' yacht.

Consider that it is a Wavepiercer hull and what you really are seeing is a 2-deck boat with a fly bridge. Pic #5 from the bow is a nice shot.

One of the designs delivered to Tahiti and is used like an SF, albeit it a luxury one.
