1965 37' Roamer. anybody know what size packing I need? The existing packing is so far gone it's hard to tell what size I need.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Measure the gap between the rudder post and the housing and that's the size you need.

You can use a drill bit to stick between them to determine size.

    I have another question.
My rudders have keyways. One of the inserts (bushings?)is missing for the port rudder. Does anyone know where to find these?

They are called woodruff keys and should be available at hardware or industrial supply stores. The ends may have to be trimmed by grinding to match.
