    We had ours done similar to Ruby, additionally had cut out the door faces to install black plexiglass and installed the electronics in that cabinet. Also, while building shelves in that cabinet installed new framing for replaceable filters for the AC. Installed the old air outlet into the area next to the cabinet to increase the air flow to the AC....boat now as cold as a "meat locker"...

    The old air outlet was in the area I installed the TV. We re-used that outlet and installed it to the right of the cabinet into the sloped area which increased the air flow. If you enlarge the picture, look closely near the window, you'll see the vent. The other thing we did was remove the back of the existing cabinet for space and to help the electronics breathe. What I saw when I did that was a screen had been installed at some point over the A/C inlet. There wouldn't be away to see it before. Last year the AC worked, but not like this. Here are before and after the removal of the screen I found. I installed an aluminum frame and I'm using 12" x 12"x 1" throw away filters.

    No, that's the outlet of the blower.

    OK that is where mine is located, behind the 2 doors. I thought you may have put a return to the right side by the windows as well. I sometimes leave my electronic doors open to allow more air in there and seems to cool a little better. Just replace my 16,000 BTU unit with another newer one and seems to do a little better. Which I could of went to a 24K unit but power was the issue.
