I am shocked that Ed Dubois passed away last tuesday..He was my favourite sailing yacht designer and no doubt one of the leading in his discipline. My condolence to his family and friends.

We just lost Pieter Beeldsnijder too, who designed Ethereal, Athena and Hyperian for Royal Huisman, as well as a slew of motoryachts for various yards over his career. :(

Ed Dubois was aboard our 80' ketch S/Y OZ in San Diego during the AC trials. We spent 2 awesome days planning the build of our Ed Dubois/Jon Bannenberg 110 to be built at Pendennis. A memorable time spent with a great designer. A loss to the yachting world.

Ed Dubois will be truly remembered by all the fabulous masterpieces that he has designed and sail around the world today. Each one a happy memory of a great designer. Thank you for having made yachting more beautiful, you will never be forgotten!!
