Does anyone own a small Roamer (especially the 25 footers or less)

Actually, 165 hulls were laid up in the Comet lineup, my hull number is 162 and it came out CC's Holland, Michigan boatworks. The boat is currently for sale and I just posted a youtube slide show at .
I did re-paint the cabin top, which was already painted white by the previous owner. However, when I removed the grab rails, the original green showed through. Not sure if "sea foam green" would be the correct color scheme, but it would be close. My comet is missing the hull stripe, I sanded it down when I rolled the hull with the Interlux Brightside Polyurethane system. Using a rotating laser to shoot a straight line along the hull would allow you to put a proper tape edge for the bottom of the stripe.

As our Roamer was sold, I deleted the above YouTube link. The Boat now docks north of St. Paul, MN and is owned by Aron at Sunrise River Boatworks, a wonderful restoration facility. We felt very comfortable handing the keys to Aron due to the diligent work he and his partners do (please visit their website http://sunriseriverboatworks.com/#main ). He was very pleased with the rebuilt starboard engine, especially with the final cost, several thousand dollars less than he last paid for a total rebuild.

If anyone is looking, I just noticed a 27' silver comet available. It's rough, but original and includes the original plywood rail. Price is commensurate with condition. Don't want to see this rare girl cut up for scrap!

Just saved it. Bought this roamer last week. Appears to be hull number 109. In your post it said that hull # 109 is in Takoma. I bought in from around the Detroit MI area. She will be headed home and kept in my workshop for the next several years of restoration. Her new home will be Saint Louis, Michigan. Is it possible that the listed information above is incorrect? From the extensive 4 inch thick file of original paperwork, it seems like it has been in the Detroit area its whole life. I have original embossed and water marked letter heads and telegrams from the engineers at Chris craft to the original owner. They discuss the maintenance and condition of the boat. The boat also came with all original owners manuals and maintenance manuals. As well as typewritten file folders organizing everything for the boat. Not sure if this was done by Chris Craft or the owner. I am excited to get it home and begin deconstruction for restoration.

Congrats on the purchase. If you need advise on the restore, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am curious if you plan on a 100% original restoration? I have a Silver Comet that I am trying to restore to original but do not have the original stern railing like yours, nor have I ever seen one in person. (just in case you plan on changing) Good luck on the project. My Custom Comet took a while to finish, but it is a real head turner when you pull into a harbor. Ray
