looking for fuel tank capacity on our 43' 1987 Post. Aft Tank is 284 Gal. I cannot read label on tank between both engines. Any help would be appreciated.
Congratulations on the boat. Sorry I can't help you with info but welcome anyhow. What engines does the boat have ?
Congratulations, 43s are very nice boats, and welcome to the forum. This site appears to have become the universal place for Post owners to chat. I'm certain someone will respond with the info you need, in the mean while enjoy that vessel!
I'm almost positive mine is 500 total. The aft may be 264 and the forward 236. It is around a 30 gal difference for the generator. If I remember, I will read the labels on mine next time. But those numbers have to be pretty close.
Congratulations!! I have a 1989 43 footer. I just went and checked the labels on both tanks. The forward tank is stamped 224 gallons. The aft tank is stamped 350 gallons on my boat for a total of 574. And to confuse issues further... Here is an excerpt from my owners manual Welcome to the family and the forum!!
Hello Barney, and ReeLeeHooked: The Post 43 of year 1989 was indeed equipped with 550 gallon total fuel capacity as standard equipment. The 1987 model year Post 43 was equipped with 500 gallons total fuel capacity as standard equipment, per data from Power Boat Guide reference book.
