With FLIBS only 3 weeks away I'm surprised nobody has started a "who's going to be there" thread yet...

I haven't been since 2004, so I'm pretty excited to be going this year. The last time one of my trips to FL coincided with FLIBS was the year Hurricane Sandy was busy making a blustery mess just off-shore, leaving most of south Florida very wet.

While we didn't get down to Bahia Mar, it was more than made up for with an excellent evening out with Carl, @Ken Bracewell and his crew, @maldwin and others.

I'm hoping this year I'll get the chance to put a few more faces to the screen-names. So, aside from myself, Carl, Judy, Tom, who else will be there?

I just found out today they moved it to Nov5th-9th instead of the last weekend of October. Was told it was due to hurricane season/insurance etc.

Insurance makes sense, but I'm guessing FLIBS interfered with too many Halloween parties. ;)

Wife has officially given permission to go. Not sure she will let me take the checkbook, but none the less will be fun.

Carl, will do. I look forward to it.

OB, I see where GOODLIFE shows up on show search but ME TOO! does not. I'm going to fix that in the morning.

I'll be there every day debuting our new boat the Mag Bay 33. If anyone is looking for a true yacht quality center console, stop by HI dock.

As a photographer I would love to attend the show and photograph the yachts arrival, at dock etc. What type of access is there for someone who isn't in the industry or have the funds to buy one of these yachts. Would I be able to get some good shots, access to the show and on the yachts?

Any suggestions on a good photography points in Fort Lauderdale?

Best place for great shots is that retired guy looking to upgrade to a 50M plus, he should have some nice eye candy hanging off his arm.

Anyone can buy tickets for the show once it is in session. Parking yourself on the Las Olas bridge is a great vantage point with a good zoom lense for taking pictures of move in and move out. Also the neighborhood directly West of Bahia Mar (across the Intracoastal) is another good vantage point of getting yacht photo's. Usually to be on the docks during move in you have to have credentials, but it's so busy you can usually walk right in and nobody really pays too much attention half the time.

90% I will be there too.
Not so much for shopping big boats, but to wander around and run into old friends, shoot the breeze and oogle eye-candy.
Having worked the Show before I am spoiled getting free tickets but this year
I may have to look harder.
