Big oldie was trucked in a couple of months ago from the north left coast. Another big classic trucked in from bfe came in last week for full refits.
Whole yard seems happy working on the old stuff. Many here not born yet half the age of most the stuff around here.

Flat bottoms and their asp's slide a bit. Not to much HP required to make them move.

Yeah my boat is a 1955 and I'm only 28 so she's more than twice my age.

Usually old fart brain damage does not settle on those so young.
Hopefully your bride is understanding or afflicted also. :)

Were glad to hear good reports. Keep them coming.

Lol I love old boats. So much more character and for the most part much better built. I'm not married so I'm buying all of my toys now. Thinking about painting the hull a dark color. Thoughts?

BFB left out of here about a year (more?) ago. It was a nice boat. Hull fared as best a possible,
The dark blue hull sides still showed every blem, line and mark in her her hull.

There is another Huck here with a light blue hull. Now she looks great.
If you look closer, there are the same blems but You have to look for the 40+ year old bo bo's.

The darker the color, every defect shows up.

Yeah I know. I was even thinking like a silver color possibly. Idk I'm doing some photoshop rendering to see what I think.

Blake, your email address was removed. Please use common sense on the net. Bots scour websites and forums for email addresses, resulting in an automated phone solicitation during your dinner hour.

Im taking over this is my thread now. No work today it's the weekend. The boat is in CT and I'm active duty Navy in Virginia. I'm stationed on the USS Enterprise. Maybe that explains my love for old boats lol. The only reason I don't want to start a new thread is I want the most advice I can get....trust me I need it :)
