    Hi,
Looking at a 2004 Silverton Sport Bridge 410, 370 Cummins (385hrs). I was looking for information on the cruising speed and WOT for this setup. I realize the 410 is approx 29K lbs, wanted to find some real boating conditions and rpm on plane. I wanted to make sure this boat isn't underpowered, I'm not looking for a speed boat just want to make sure the boat isn't over proped, causing diesel failure.
    Thanks
    Joe

I would guess you should be able to make 16 kts at cruise and 22 kts at WOT. I would recommend you get the performance curves for your engines which will give you the WOT RPM, my guess 2800. Then with a clean bottom, full load of liquids, passengers and equipment you should be able to achieve the WOT spec RPM. Begin with the engines warmed up, as you throttle up watch your temps and exhaust smoke and adjust the trim tabs for max speed, give the boat a little while to settle out. If you get black smoke for more than a few seconds or do not achieve full rated RPM then you are most likely over propped but there could be other problems.

Agree with Capt Fred. The Power Boat Guide lists the 420 Cats at a 20kt cruise so I would guess the 370s are in the 16-17 range.
