    Folks,

Some of you may recall a reference to by buddy who had owned a Pershing 80 & then upgraded to a Pershing 92.

Well, he dumped the 92 for the M.Y. Latitude and spent two months making this trip of a lifetime.

For all the adventurers. This is the first "Latitude" video about the recent epic Arctic journey across the Northwest Passage.

Truly the memory of a lifetime.

The Northwest passage is also on my bucket list, how crazy would you have to be to try this in a fiberglass/composite/non-steel hull? Just so we're on the same page, the Northwest passage is going up the East coast over the top of Canada, and then down to Vancouver. Yes?

Capt J, you're absolutely right. I am going to try it one of these days,(assuming I live long enough) But it's going to be in a Steel hulled vessel with Azimuth drives with Kort nozzles. I'm a Florida boy, and being north of the Mason Dixon line, is at the bottom of my comfort list. I would probably buy a used Doggersbank and have the drives retrofitted. I'd like to be able to back out of trouble faster than I drove into it.

Emmy award winner Sprague Theobald documented his trip through the NWP quite nicely. It was done nearly 4 years ago in a Nordhavn 57. The DVD is easily purchased and pretty well shows the trip does not need an "icebreaker" vessel or mentality.
