450 voyager holding tank filter.

    My 450 doesn't have holding tank filters. Has anyone installed them on their voyager. My wife wants them and I tend to agree.

    If you have good access to the vent hose going up to the vent fitting they re easy to install.

    Personally I don't care much for them unless the vent is in a location close to the cockpit or hatches. All it takes is overfilling the tank just once and they are clogged, resulting in bulging or collapsing tank if you have plastic tanks.

    I put one on my Voyager. My vent hose runs uphill from the tank, so overfilling the tank would require it being so full that it spilled upward and out the vent. Worked for about 2 years then required replacement. Instead of buying new ones at $100+ each, look online on how to make a charcoal pellet filled bag for $10.
