    Here's a question for you more experienced boaters...
    My Carver's port engine is stuck in gear. Right now I am limited to reversing with only one engine. At the moment I am thinking it is a cable or belt. Any other Ideas? Everything works great when going forward.

    You don't say what Carver you have but have you simply disconnected the cable at the transmission and try to shift it with the lever on the transmission. I have a Carver 3607 and access to the connection is very easy. With it disconnected you should be able to shift it by hand with no force.

    I have a 1981 Carver Aft cab 3007.
    I am going to try that when I get back to the boat.

    What clutch/gear do you have? Stuck in forward only?
