Need some cleaning, Miami

    I wonder if I might be able to get a name or two. My boat is at the Bayside Marina in Miami. I'm having a few things done there this week, and I depart on the afternoon of Friday the 13th. Yep ... 13th.

    I'm looking for a last minute person to do the following:

    1. Give the exterior of the boat a good wash, wipe dry, and a general once over.
    2. Interior cleaning, such as wipe down all surfaces, do a set of linens for 4 staterooms, make all the beds, and generally make things presentable for a group of customers that will be joining me on the afternoon of the 13th.

    Any recommendations for a good person/persons for this?

    Chamonix provides cleaning at Miami Beach Marina and I'm sure could provide the same there. Just not sure what they can do on the short time. Their website is chamonixvip dot com.

    The best thing to do is ask your marina manager or dockmaster to set it up. Most marinas I've dealt with have specific people they use or recommend. Going to the outside you could get someone who's not allowed at your marina thereby wasting everyone's time. At several marinas I've been in the housekeeper was actually the manager's daughter or friend. Simply good politics to ask there first.

    Yeah, tried that. The marina is City owned, so they don't make recommendations. Opposite politics, I guess. Thanks though.

    Did you try Chamonix? I'm sure they service there, just not sure of availability. I figured since they were city owned they didn't have a list of recommended vendors or anything.

    Nope, but it's hard to find stuff last minute. She's back in her slip in Sarasota, where she'll get the TLC she's accustomed to .... While I head back to the white stuff myself. Sure hope my wife got all the shoveling done!

    Hate to burst your bubble, but this weekend's snow was washed away. The real snow is awaiting your return. 1'-3" forecast for tomorrow. Temp this morning was 28*.:) My fireplace is burning bright.

    It's 18 degrees in Gilford where he lives. I would find it very difficult to leave Sarasota for that.

    Do they "enjoy" four or just "have" four? I suspect some enjoy four but I also bet some would say they just enjoy three of the four. I did live in four season territory although nothing like New Hampshire. I'm partial however to four warm seasons and bikini weather year round.

    Great posts, and safe travels back to New Hampshire. Glad to see the boat is back in Sarasota, and I've been traveling quite a bit here lately. Anyway, the next time your back on the East Coast of Florida and are looking for a great cleaning / detail company.
