All is well this summer, the old girl is running great once we found that the crossover in the port engine was rotted out and I blocked them out with stainless steel. Going north up the St. Clair at 3100 rpms she plains off nice and my GPS says I'm traveling at 20 mph. Now when I'm going south on the river my GPS is telling me we're traveling at 25 mph. There is a swift current in the river so next week I'm going up to lake Huron to Port Sanilac and I'll get a true cruising speed. Here is a few photos of her. The one photo is us coming out from under the pine river bridge with about 10'' of clearance.
I find it a good hobby and all my life being on chris crafts it feels like I'm at home there. Little by little she will be as good as new, every year I get some more done. Gravy
10" of clearance. You could have had lunch up there with all that room. Beautiful boat. Nice job. Always amazes me when people don't understand the personal relationship we have with our boats. After all, boats are people too. They have feelings, pride, they know when they're loved. Sometimes they treat us better than...no, better not say that or I'll have a boat named 'She got the house'.
Rare Bird? Iffin' that aft roof over the cockpit is original CC factory made (which it looks like from here), that makes her one of the rarest Riviera Motoryachts ever made: Riviera_MY_38.page Steel hull would be clue, as of course would be the hull#. I only know of two - look familiar? Cheers! -Eric
As far as I can tell the aft hard top was put on after, they did a great job with it. When I pick her up the back was totally in closed with clear plastic panels, it was like an oven. Along the back deck is a bench seat from side to side, the most comfortable seat on the boat. The time has come for me to put her up for sale, I've had a great time but now I must part with her
Hello, Do you have any interior photos you could post? What price will you be asking for her? Roamer dreamer
oldstyle pics The dinette and couch are new, along with the fridge, head and holding tank. The port engine was rebuilt in the spring of 2013,and both carbs were rebuilt in the spring of 2012. Here are some pics.
