Absolutely spectacular! Good solution for the helipad (assuming its not used very often) and great beach club! The awnings all over is something very necessary in the med and the caribbean and something missing in so many yachts.

Indeed very beautiful superyacht! Thanks a lot for these photos David.
I am pleasently surprised how she turned out compared to the renderings.

Her mast is now installed as well.

If I'm not mistaken she's on a pontoon next to the yard, hopefully they will move her out very soon.
And fill the right half of the shed with the next project, Solar or the Vitters/Oceanco 85 meter sailing yacht?
Haven't heard much about that one alas.

Their new shed will take some time to complete, maybe late 2014?

Imo she also looks a bit like a larger version of Lurssen's Northern Star, partly because of the windows of both bridge and main deck leaning forward and hull color and some sort of expedition look etc
In photos she's easier to appreciate than St. Princess Olga

Nice to see them go through the 300ft barrier again, the extra length works well visually I think

You are right, they passed Rotterdam this morning, but they have to get the yacht off the pontoon. I assumed sheerlegs would be used, but I think she's in a drydock, so perhaps they used a different way of getting Y709 in the water

If you were basing that off of BI, I think that was taken down.

Two 100m+ OceAnco projects under constcrution in Germany..

If there would be a German Yard hired as a subcontractor by this Dutch Megayacht yard (for building the hull or some superstructure for 100+ meter yachts), the drums would have told us in the ship industry.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a German Yard to get an order from a Dutch ship or yachtbuilder :).

There are many German companies like Reckmann, Steen, Hamann, Oldenburger Möbelwerkstätten (Interior builder), Schottel, MTU and others involved in Dutch yachtbuilding. But building a hull in Germany for a Dutch yard must be a very rare occasion. You might see one or the other hull or superstructure for completion in the Netherlands, passing through the Kiel Canal but they come from Poland or Russia.

    From their website:

Oceanco is one of the world's finest yacht builders. With a yacht building facility in the Netherlands and a design and sales office in Monaco, our technically accomplished and distinctive yachts are built to standards that no other shipyard exceeds. Unsurpassed Dutch engineering, specifications, craftsmen, quality controls; for Oceanco these are not aims, they are achievements. Our yachts are built with meticulous dedication and respect to the visions of both the owner and designer ' a yacht for yachtsmen.

A Yard with this standards would not take a normal German Yard with ordinary mortal workers as subcontractors, wouldnt they ? :p.

The E-motion concept looks like a good project and as much as I like the Y-series, this new project looks like something new and fresh.

Whats, the ETA on the drydock...? Cheers
