Really like the sound of it and checked it out over the weekend prices are higher then most but was still going to use them, until I talked to the dock-master who was very rude and acted like he could care less. I will be taking my business some where else...

MAPTECH cruising guide. Don't leave home without it.

OK ...are you 30' or 80'? Passing through or long term? Close to an inlet? Does it matter? ...you know, details? ...that goes for the OP too.

Not sure about the op but I have a 42 post looking for something long term
Close to the inlet would be nice but not required.

I can't remember the last time I used a cruising guide... They are outdated a soon as you buy them and very limited in scope anyway.

Active captain is the way to go, tons of user reviews and while it should be taken with a grain of salt like all user content it is pretty accurate

Not really. The Maptech ones are accurate, give you the phone numbers, location, draft, whether or not they have fuel, laundry, restaurants, ship store for each area. Especially if you end up stopping short of where you planned to. A cruising guide can rule out most of the marina's and narrow it down to a few that accomodate your needs......all broken down by area.
