In other words, MY Azzam is really a fast food fish eatery kitchen. :D

Speaking of eating, someone could use a XXXL T-Shirt for those impromptu photo opt moments - have to allow for the extra clothing being covered with the bonus of a bigger billboard effect.

Ah ok, once again thank you! Mhm catching and cooking the fish makes it the perfect sportfishing boat eh? I mean she is so high she does not even need a tuna tower hehe

My parents were in Bremen this weekend as well and they also had the order to take some photos of her and here is the result. Nothing overwhelming though.

That water temperature effect looks pretty bad from a marine life point of view. Not that the owner needs more trouble with environmental groups in the Seychelles.

Sorry for pulling your legs again. The last paragraph was meant as a joke. The temperature rise behind a WJ is negligible. The term "leaving cooking water behind" is a joke used by Navy guys over here, it just means full blow ahead :D.

That scaffolding there on her side, perhaps that's where her final name will go?

I thought her name was hidden under this provisional canvas (like on Topaz, last picture), as to be seen on one of my first pictures. On my latest pictures, the canvas is either tightend or the letters are removed.

B.t.w. Old Phart, the man wearing the YF t-shirt in that picture is not the man this T-shirt was ment for. My son in law and his father pulled my leg on that one. Its my T-shirt, but not me in it. This T-shirt was profaned by a non member. It will be washed, disinfected and perfectly ironed before covering the astral body of a real senior member, promised :p.

I am definitely not seeing anything covered up in you rlast photo of Azzam for sure, so whatever that was under the tarp in the first photo, was removed! Maybe it was a badge...u know like what "Sarafsa" has.

Maybe the letters of her name were fitted and installed and then removed for the seatrails until her formal christening, if this this the correct term for a middle east ship?

Azzam just started her second round of sea trials in the North sea yesterday!

As a side note: A prince of Brunei visited the yard yesterday, would be another arabian client.

The owner isn't then who everybody has been speculated about then...

Mhm no he must not necessarily be linked to "Azzam", it could very well be another another Lürssen project or he visited the yard only as an interested client, representing his father.

    Not the Largest but LONGEST.

"Al Said" and "Eclipse" are much bigger (in terms of Displacement)

Her architecture proportions are too stretched.
It's evident that Designer's main aim was to build the world longest yacht at any cost. And the cost turned to be rather high - with her very narrow hull and very little draught stability problem in open sea could be rather deadly.
If stabilizers, by chance, are out of action, overkeel turn is inevitable.

Her main aims seem to be length (the longest), and the other would/is speed... and the only way to achieve the speed is to have a small wetted surface area, and a low beam to length ratio was always going to be on the cards.
A boat no matter which type or size will have its pros and cons. Azzam will be fast but at the cost of comfort. Cheers

Yes, the helicopter does look very small compare to the yacht, really gives a good sense of scale for this world-leader.
