Ok, we've been looking for a larger cruiser and have stumbled upon a '74 Roamer 55. It appears to be mostly original and in need of some TLC on the cosmetic side, but mechanically she checks out pretty good. Low hours on the engines, gen etc. (1100 or so). I think she is priced a bit high so any opinions as to rough value would be appreciated.
Hey lawyerman- We too were looking at a 74 Roamer 55 in Fla. a few months back. What are they asking for yours? We had a heck of a time trying to find insurance and could not get the owner to agree to an ultrasound of the bottom. What has your experience been? PM me if you would like or give me a call. I don't know how to do either of those things since this is my first time participating in a forum!
RCSLAW777, do you have links to pix? In this market, used big boats are selling for a fraction of what they were five years ago. But there are so few big Roamers out there, it's tough to get a fix on what the prices range is. There have been some HUGE price drops on some of the really big ones recently. DP
