Well ...I would not sell her for 150% since I have spend a significant amount of money and time righting all the wrongs. Don't take it so personal, but this was your first big boat and it was too much to chew on. You were lucky you found a guy who had the cash to pull off a sale quick, there is still a lot of boats not sold around here.

Today she got her tanks filled with 93 Octane. Probably the first time in a long time that boat has had full tanks. I am still pissed at the "uprigging" job the marina did, they actually cut wires installing the radar arch. Just installed Apple TV, can run all the electrical outlets via my iPhone or Ipad, got the windlass working (the switch was installed upside down by the way) got the crane working (big piece of crap that I will remove anyway since my dink is light and I can pull it aboard single handed.) The couch had to be thrown out as it was falling apart, I junked pretty much everything in the boat and started over. You will be happy to know that the steering system is fine once you added some fluid to the system (5 min fix) and again I am surprised the uprigging folks didn't catch that one.

Bottom line is the boat is mine and I am making her the way I want her, the next guy will undo my "screw ups" and change her to his liking.

If you want to offer me 200% well there is a 60' Chris Craft Roamer that I would like to move up too.

    4207 stairs

The person I bought my vessal from had the spiral staircase from a Carver 440 installed on my 1988 4207 and it's been one of the best features on the boat.

Here was my idea for the flat screen in the salon. I did this in 2007 and I'm about to update the TV. I just realized this one looks like a dinosaur...

    4207 stairs

The boatyard where I used to keep the boat at did the custom work on the stairs. It included the notch that had to be cut-out of the stern to be use as the first step. I think the guy I bought it from said, "it was $3700 (new) for the steps from Carver and it was about $4000 fiberglass work and installation." I know...Ouch! Probably would have included a divorce if I had tried to do it...

    Here is the TV.

    Fet-ish water tank

Now I have a question. I have a leak in the fresh water tank under the galley floor. As most of you probably know, Carver generally used a soft rubber 150 gal tank in a large pie-shaped tub. Has anyone had success repairing or replacing it???

I have never noticed the holding tank under the galley floor. Is it accessed through the engine room? I have had a leak for awhile in what I thought was in a pressurized line so I turn the pump off when not in use. Last night I ran out of water although the pump has not been on in a week.

    Fresh Water Tank

MysticDolphin, How big is the aluminum water tank under the aft master bed? I would like to do something different for fresh water as the forward bladder tank under the galley/stateroom floor is one of the worst engineering designs I've ever seen.
Carver designed it with no access to the tub or tank (150gal). You can barely see it when you stick your head in the forward bildge, let alone get your hands on it. I love my Carver, but I can't believe they thought a large flat rubber tank with a compression panel on top would last forever (or maybe just till engineer retired...).
