Since I have been in the detailing mode as of late I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting the corrosion of their stainless horns.......I am not sure if I want to try to clean them up or just buy new ones ????

If they are stainless you can polish the corrossion out with a product like Collinite Metal Wax and 0000 brass wool, or just a cotton rag. Most horns are chrome over pot metal or brass, and once the chrome gets bad, it's bad.

Thanks ...I was afraid of that........As a complete side note >>>>I called Carver today about the exact color of the painted metal parts on my 1994 440 exterior. They gave me the number of the paint and the company to order it through. If anyone wants the info just let me know........You can get either the spray or brush Paint.

No problem. The company is "Midwest Industrial Coatings" in MN. (952) 252-2000.
According to Carver the color number for the paint for a sprayer is F8189. Tom at Midwest Industrial said the brush version is H8240. I am interested in the brush version. The price was around $160 and $180 accordingly which includes the paint, activator and thinner. Once again if you want to confirm the paint color call Carver Yachts (920) 822-3214. Good luck !!
