Thank all for the tips on the holding tank locations! One reason that I had a question was that every time I flush the forward head on my 1995 355, the fluid exits a thru hull near the sink drain. Upon further investigation I found that the pluming runs under the sink, then up to a U shaped fitting then down to the holding tank. It looks stock. The only issue I see is that at the top of the U, there is a fitting with a tube that goes to the thru hull. Is this by design? Below is a picture. If it is by design, my only guess is that I have a blockage between the holding tank and the U that causes the fluid to exit the thru hull instead of going to holding tank. I just had the tank pumped so I know it is empty.

Just one note, the picture is tilted 90 degrees to the left

Yep, there is a problem after that vented loop to your tank system. The vent was designed to keep any siphoning effect from happening. Forward or BACKWARD. Also helps keep any stuff from sitting in the hose.
If there is stuff going out that vent hose, you have a problem. Make sure you check the tank vent first. Bug stuff in the thru-hull, Odor filter clogged with stuff or the vent line/fittings would cause these problems. When you empty your tank, it probably vents in from the U vent line and you may not realize you have a tank vent problem.
Let us know what you find.

Ok thanks and good info.... So that I am clear, this is a normal setup and I either have an obstruction or a vent line blockage? Again, thanks for the help!!

Ok so i ran a fish wire (what a pain) all the way to the tank and no apparent obstructions. It appears that there may be a blockage in the holding tank vent line from the forward tank. I tried to trace the vent line but could not follow it. Can any of you tell me which side of the boat the forward holding tank vents to and which fitting it is? I need to run a fish wire thru it and not sure which one to start with.

    Thanks,
    Scott
