Perhaps expensive real estate in the two major yachting areas can be an indication? Most yacht owners from Russia, the Middle East and the USA own very expensive houses or apartments in for example Marbella, the Cote d'Azur, Porto Cervo, Mallorca, Barcelona, etc.

Such real estate ownership seems to go hand in hand with large yacht ownership. It's just a theory of mine, but if there's some truth to it, we wont's see rich Asians in the Med/Carribean with big yachts until they start buying high end housing in those regions.

"April Fool" has been finally sold! I felt like that yacht was for sale forever! Asking price was $59,950,000.

As you would know, the F45 "Helix" is for sale. Helix has been sailing around as a showpiece for Feadship and now it is up for sale.

My bet, closer to the $40-45m mark.

Note I said the asking price was 59,950,000. I highly doubt she could have been sold for that price not for being on the market so long. We do not know for sure so let us not speculate but it is logical it probably wasn't the asking price!

So I assume "Helix" was built on-spec?

Feadship's "Musashi" has been short-listed as a finalist in another set of awards. She is in the International Yacht & Aviation Awards. This yacht has won quite a few awards already since delivery.

Interesting you get to know that the 203' Feadship #807 is supposed to be launched in July on a website for superyacht jobs!

Someone who works at the Feadship yard at the Kaag(van Lent) told me that the new 102 meter yacht is being build for the owner of LVMH group who purchased feadship a couple of years ago.........I know it's not okay to talk about owners so i won't mention his name.........But this will mean that "Amadeus" will probably be up for sale in the future...........

LVMH owns Van Lent, not Feadship I think. What percentage of Van Lent they own, I don't know, perhaps 60% or 100%?

The website is ...different for sure. I definitely have to get accustomed to it. Interesting with all the side scrolling seems made for touch-screen tablets but when you have a mouse, that gets annoying!

If you have a mouse that is equipped with a center scroll button that not only scrolls vertically, but also horizontally, it's not too bad.

I have seen a few other websites that have migrated to a more "touchpad" look & feel, and all have fallen short, in my estimation. Feadship's attempt isn't any better.

The pictures are really low quality.
No clear overview whatsoever. Had expected alot more from such a well known brand...........

Feadship should take an example at how the ********** site has been put together.

Is this in reference to feadship.com (which has changed) as, when I looked last night, *********** has not changed
