Does it bother anyone else that their version of "reporting" a story involves as much advertising the yacht and it's amenities as actual facts about the tragic accident? :(

When your that thin on information about the actual accident, I guess they had fill the column with some kind of stuff.

    I'm sorry for the loss.

    Hi,

I have not seen mainstream media in Aussie for a few years, if the drivel on the NZ excuse for a news program is anything to go by I am not surprised that space fillers are not related to the tragic loss of life.

I think the Sydney Morning Herald, the favorite news source of my Aussie mates, did a more credible job of reporting including video.

How about somebody reporting more on how the victim ending up in the water. Fell, tripped, pulled, pushed or knocked in? Tending lines or fenders? Checking clearances? Usually, crew members don't just end up in the water. Then get crushed between the boat and WHAT?

How can anything be learned from this dribble reporting. Oh wait; some French boat sinks last year and nobody has a clew there either. My expatiations are just to high; Never Mind.

    Hi,

Just how many travellers feel when subject to what passes for news on one of the mainstream US channels, mind you these might all be in the same stable anyway
