There is a 47 Constellation on Ebay going for $2550.01 located in Kemah TX. It has 427's in it. They might be worth a look. Item# 260559875532
427 I HAVE A 37 RIVERIA WITH 427S IN HER AND THE PORT ONE IS BLOWING OIL OUT THE BREATHER FILL CAP, NOT A LOT BUT ENOUGH TO GET ON THE MOTOR AND CAUSE SOME SMOKING. ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM . THANKS GRAVY
Check the PCV valve in the intake manifold, not in the carb base. My 454s have draft hoses from the valve covers to the backfire arrester and are marginally succesful at pulling CC vapor. r n http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CU9mwaEtsUA
I have the problem with my port engine I pulled the intake manofold and found that the exhust crossover has lost her seal due to rust. so I'm looking for a used one for my 1965 427 ford side oiler. I was told that I could block off the crossover with stainless steel but I'd rather keep it more original. If anyone has one please let me know thanks Gravy
Intake Not sure if this would work for you, but I did notice today a 427 Ford intake manifold, used, recently listed for sale on eBay under item number 251049253853 current price $109. Also, I have seen a bunch of discussion on the Commander forum where this iron intake is being replaced by aluminum, saving pounds in the process. Search on your computer for Commander forum Network 54 (or someone here has probably posted the link to that site), register on the site, then you can search for that if interested. Paul, the moderator there, has 427 Fords and is a guru. And many others post there too with detailed helpful info. And you may be able to find an aluminum intake on eBay as well. I believe that is an automotive part that can be use in the marine application without modification so you may find what you need in the car parts category. I am not sure on that at all so check on the Commander site. Hope this helps. Cary '66 37' Roamer aluminum Riviera with 427 Fords.
