I know it was posted earlier in the week, but just wanted to post a reminder that the Travel Channel will feature the company on 11-19-12 at 8:00 pm central

They also featured a few other builders. Marquis, Ocean Alexander, a couple others, and one of my local favorites, a wooden boat restoration facility that does some incredible work. Macatawa Boat Works.

The show is called "Extreme Yachts" if you set your DVR to search for it.

The build of the 82' Viking was pretty interesting. The boat was equipped with a gyro stabilizer and some pretty heavy running gear. The streamlined struts were pretty nice

Now that YF has turned me and others on to this program, and we are now looking at other builders they are featuring, I would like to point out the difference that YF brings into yacht "reporting." And that is that all of us come from marine backgrounds and are within the industry as users or vendors or both. We have the relationships and histories behind the scenes as well as inside information.

YF had the opportunity to review one of the yachts that was featured in another segment, but knew of some negative history of a previous build, confirmed it from a client who ended up on the short end, and decided to pass. Carl and the reviewers are selective on which yachts and builders are reviewed and are proud to support the "good guys."

I look forward to the YF review on Northern Marine's latest accomplishment.
