Walked the show Sunday, got to meet Judy finally, charming Lady she is.
Also toured the Delta 54, sleek boat and the Euro/Scandinavian styling and finish was right up my alley..

I've been watching the web cam all morning. The orchestration for getting all of these fine ships out in a non-chaotic manner is pretty dayum impressive!

Guess who just crossed the Atlantic on her own bottom!

That's right, the Garcia GT54 "Le Trawler" reviewed http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/general-trawler-discussion/19720-review-garcia-yachtings-gt54-le-trawler.html by YF's own Captian Judy Waldman!!

    garcia (1).JPG

I am really taken by the Garcia's hull finish or should I say lack there of. With only a clear coat she really fits the meaning and embodies the spirit of ye olde form follows function theory of design. What could be better than a hull that never needs a paint job and whose finish like antique silver develops a bespoke patina that only improves with time.

    garcia (2).JPG

The GT54 looks good from every angle!

    garcia (3).JPG

I think someone looks like they are having way too much fun up there!!

    garcia (4).JPG

I caught Captain Judy showing customers a gorgeous 55' Bering Yachts trawler featuring a great room open design that encompasses the salon, galley with granite tops and pilothouse so no one feels left out of the action when making passage.

    garcia (5).JPG

In chatting with Judy I learned that her passion in life, besides writing reviews for YF, is assisting folks with special needs in finding the boat of their dreams!!!

For me one of the most exciting boats of the show was the Delta Power Boats carbon hulled 54IPS that is able to hit 38 knots with her 3 Volvo Penta 600s.

From what her captain told me about his trip down here from Annapolis not only was she fun and economical to drive, when offshore in the rough she was extremely seaworthy as well!

    d54.JPG

She has some excellent features for boating in the South Florida sun such as her wrap around cockpit glass and her retractable sunscreen.

    delta54 (1).JPG

Add to that her absolutely enormous cockpit, with abundant banquette and adjustable seating, table, an open stern, and a swim platform that could almost hold the state of Texas you have a water sports oriented rear end that can't be beat!!

    delta54 (2).JPG

The swim platform has a cleverly engineered intergrated retractable swim ladder that allows easy access for swimmers.

    delta54 (3).JPG

Her double glass sliding doors bring the outdoors into her open salon, galley, and helm station space where everyone can share in the fun.

    delta54 (4).JPG

Unfortunately my camera battery died before I could go on board to check out her contemporary interior above and below deck so see more 54 IPS | Delta Powerboats

I didn't even know the Delta Powerboats 54IPS had that awning that jettisons from the aft overhang. I guess that edge fits really flush that I didn't notice!

Thanks for taking and posting the pictures! This ladder is mainly a safety feature to get onboard if the platform is up and you are down. Otherwise the platform is for your toys and can be lowered into the water so you can almost swim onboard...

A great show surprise was finding the 54IPS's baby brother docked behind her.

    del26 (5).JPG

This sharp sleek Delta Power Boats Open 26 packs a lot of punch in a small package including drive options that enable her to reach an astounding 47 knots!!!

    del26 (4).JPG

Her cockpit includes a fully equipped galley cleverly hidden below the drivers seat, an aft sofa that converts into a sunbed, a teak table, a cabin with twin berths and wc, and a large integrated swim platform.

    del26 (1).JPG

Following in the footsteps of her big brother the 26 sports a very large functional swim platform with sturdy retractable swim steps and a built in stern anchor holder.

    del26 (2).JPG

Today Captain Fabrice was spotted puttering up the Intracoastal.

    del26 (3).JPG

Check out the steps in her hull bottom that help her achieve her 47 knot top speed in a flash!!

This fast looking inflatable is the new Hunt HBI 30 that tops out at over 50 mph!!

    blac (1).JPG

Well you know me, I am a sucker for blue hulled boats so here is another beauty named Aspara from Sag Harbor, NY.

I don't know her top speed but since the logo on her cabin looks similar to Bently's you know she runs in the money!!!

And just take a look at the perfect mirror like finish on that hull!!!

Turns out she is made by Palm Beach Motor Yachts, well that makes perfect sense!

    blac (2).JPG

And yes, you guessed it another blue hulled yachet, this time by VanDutch.

The VanDutch 40 will hit 40 mph with twin 480 hp engines!

    blac (3).JPG

Ok, just how cute are these blue hulled baby trawlers made by Rangertugs??

    blac (5).JPG

Her sister is sporting a margarita flag so you know she is heavy duty!!

    blac (4).JPG

If anyone recognized the logos please speak up!

The logo on the side of this stout trawler reads GB so I am going to hazard a guess and say this is a Grand Banks Trawler.

    gb (1).JPG

I think it is sort of tacky to put the name of your website on the side of your boat or did they name their website after their boat in which case it would be ok?!?!?!

In any case she gets a pass since her hull is blue!!

    gb1.JPG

Wow, this boats looks like money, lots of money!!

From the curvaceous sinuey shaped hull, to the custom portholes, to the outstanding blue(turquoise) colored hull with another fabulous mirror like finish, to the custom navigation light holder, to the custom, oh stop it.

Everything on a Zeelander is custom!!!

    gb (2).JPG

Awesome, from this view you get a better look at her cockpit interior where there are more custom features and another view of her remarkable mirror like finish hull!!

    gb (3).JPG

Well I guess everyone knows what the initials in this logo stand for?

    Why MTU of course!

    gb (4).JPG

    How about Motoren-und Turbinen-Union GmbH?

No thanks, I think I will stick with something short and sweet like MTU!!
