We are replacing our 96KW Northern Lights generators this fall and I am curious if there are any outlets to sell the old ones. They are well maintained and in running condition.
I've already placed an ad in Boats and Harbors.

    Thanks,
    Ken

Were these the luger blocks? Larger gen-set I would think offer a long life including easy rebuilds. May I ask why you did not rebuild? Just older sets?

    Hello
I'd put them up on either Ebay or Craigs list. Of course you'll get hit with fees on Ebay, but it's a guaranteed sell to just one person. Craigs list will have you having to show it to people.
You can offer to freight ship it or just local pickup and have them deal with getting it on their truck.
I once sold and shipped a used 200hp volvo to a guy in chile...
If you have any questions or need any help let me know. Where are they located?

The engines have been rebuilt multiple times, but the peripheral components are getting finicky. They will be great for someone domestically based, but we need new ones in order to ensure reliability for running months on end.

They are located in Ft. Lauderdale.

My boat is having its Genset replaced today. In fact, I stopped by the yard at lunchtime and saw the boom lowering the new unit into place.

I put the old Onan running take-out on craigslist and sold it in a day for asking price to the first respondent.

Curious how many hours you have on them? We are up to 17K on our Northern Lights, with only general maintenance done.
PS- Welcome home, quite the Journey!
