Please that model lines is spoiled with that radar arch... :(

Offshorer also build a 40 model, a couple for sale in Italy a few years ago.

Riva was involved in them, but the owner of Offshorer was actually married to his daughter. He was an Offshore class 1 champion and ATM cannot remember his name.
Have to find the eighties brochure of the 30 I have in my library.

Offshorer was also the first brand (stated by them) to use a two stepped hull for a production boat.

I agree the 30 lines where super sweet nicer to that minimal inspired new 32. I love the sweeping stern of the 30 with the stairs to swim coming from the middle like the Aquarama Special (of which it takes other bits and peaces of).

When young I was in love with this Sports Boat before a change of heart for the Itama's....

Beautiful. RAM is run by Anselmo Viganni I believe the nephew of Carlos Riva. Ram was originally operated by Carlos Riva, Bob Hobbs and Cal Connell. If that is your boat it is absolutely gorgeous. Do you have any manuals whether they are service or owners I would love to have copies.
By the way the original 1972 27' that is in Minnesota has what appears to be a trim tab mounted on the transom. Have you ever seen any other one's like that. To me that might be a great idea for rougher waters.
Thank you and have a great day out on the lakes.

Check out the Blue Book of Boats. Great history.
The radar arch was installed for lights and sirens as it was used as a safety patrol boat.

Several small steps would be a giant step for mankind. ;)

Looks vaguely familiar. I think I saw this boat in St. Tropez, but I had been awake for 32 hours straight and I cannot trust my memory from that day...

Itama is a different boat, built in Rome on the Tiber river until the Ferretti take over in 2005. The 38 started production in 1979, the first prototype was built of wood. Itama started in the sixties and at first it build of wood.

Just to clarify Itama and Offshorer have nothing to do with each other.
Offshorer as was said above had ties with Riva.

Returning to Itama from the 38 onwards Itama was inspired to the Magnums. Infact Magnum are very popular in the Tyrennian part of Italy, half (or near) of the 53 Maltese (over 50 build) are located between Naples and Genoa.
They where not the only ones in Italy to be captivated by Magnum; also Baia, Tornado (Ballestri used to run with and for Don Aronow), Otam (they used to fit Magnum interiors for Italian clients and service them in Santa Margherita), and recent additions as Unica and XL Marine (build by previous Itama management and working staff).... I like the last two additions and also Otam. Tornado is a bit of an economic 38 stern drive power, sometimes they are referred to as the Magnum of the poor. The new 50 IPS powered they made is nice and they have a 60 in project stages.

Yes the name Itama is Mario Amati surname as seen reflected in the water upside down. I was told this by his wife at the Genoa boat show in 1995. Nice people!

I have a buddy with a 27' in the Miami area that he might sell. I used to work for Ron Dollar doing boat transport and we picked up all the Monte Carlos as they came in from the port of Miami for shipment to dealers. Cadillac

So true and you are not the first to mention this! Boat was originally delivered to Monaco, maybe for some one with swedish background? Anyway I'm happy with it, would have been boring with colours of our own flag.

There were a few with the same colours, but I donĀ“t think they had swedish owners. This picture from my balcony about 20 years ago, is showing a dozen of the Offshorer 30 in the center, with wooden Rivas inside and the next pier is filled with Offshorer 40:s that was the boat to have in those days. At the fuel station is Gentry Eagle...

I own Monte Carlo Superfast 27 by Offshorer hull # 7. Hull is Red and upholstery is Lobster. I've gone through the 310 HP motors and am in process of reassembling the drive trains with chin drives, gearboxes, Vdrives, etc. Need new gas tanks as the fiberglass tanks are damaged by the alcohol laden fuel that was stored in them at Monaco Boat Service. Or so I've been told. I'll inspect them this spring.
I've looked far and wide for the custom cast by Wolverine Bronze CalCorp thermostat housings with the 4 outlets plus oil sender. NO luck anywhere. I can have a run of 10 housings cast by Wolverine at cost of approximately $200 - 300 per housing. Price is vague since quote was 5 years ago and high because new sand cast pattern molds are required. Anyone interested in new housings please get in touch though the forum. If anyone has a running MC 27 please get in touch - Thanks - Mike
