Carl, will you be in Monaco just as a yacht enthusiast or with a YF background? I want to say: Do you have planned any reviews?

Perhaps not more than 1 or 2 and they do not have to be big (minireviews 15-20 pics). However ALL members and visitors appreciate if that is not possible as everybody knows you have been and are very busy with Jetforums and your need of cause for non-related YF/JF things!

Unfortunately I will not make it to Monaco so we can not meet-up...

Yes, I'm attending the Monaco Show and I'm most definitely working! We have three new reviews in the works right now, possibly going live before FLIBS. One review is complete, another is in editorial and one more review is pending sea trial.

Sitting in an aluminum tube at PBI, starting the first of a three leg, 15 hour flight to Monaco. Makes me appreciate how easy it is to attend FLIBS. I'll log back on during my layover in Newark...

Sorry to disappoint DK, but I'm not doing live coverage like we have at FLIBS in the past. That requires a team. I'm solo on this flight. I'll do my best to log on each day and give a few updates.

Currently in Newark. Flew up on a very heavy 737 with half pint seats that don't fit my full quart frame. How heavy? The pilot set down at 165 knots! That's about 10 knots shy of ripping the flaps off that aircraft. How do I know? I read JetForums! :p

Seriously, I asked the pilot. He laughed and said it was definitely a hot landing. The only other time I've gone that fast was up US-27, a road that runs up the center of the state of Florida. I got together with a group of car nuts from another forum and we rented a helicopter to fly 2 miles ahead of us, then radio back the "all clear" so we could all turn back our biological clocks for a few fleeting miles, without the haunting feeling that a trip to jail was on the horizon. I might have gone faster then a way-to-heavy 737 on landing, but I don't recall it ever happening.

So I'm sitting at the United Club in Newark on a five hour layover before catching an 8 hour flight to Brussels. What are you guys doing?

However I wish you 2 more pleasent flights and perhaps you can show the next pilot how to do it properly!

K1W1 - are you stuck at sea on yet another one of those ridiculously oversize canoes you built, cleverly disguised as a personal cruise ship or are you gonna jump ship and meet me and Lars for bite to drink in the port?

    Hi,

I am anchored outside, on my latest one and the first motor yacht I ever did the build on is anchored not far behind us I will try to touch base with you Thursday by phone at least.

I am going to be ashore on Saturday afternoon - that's the plan at this stage anyway.

    Hi all,

I'll be at the MYS on Thursday and Friday. Would be great to meet up with the guys from across the pond.

And K1W1, try to make it to shore. We only had a brief encounter at METS a couple of years ago, but I am sure we could go on for hours about the horrors and marvels we've seen over the years.

Milow, good luck studying chinese, you must be a brave man.

    Cheers,

    Bruno
