  2. I like, but my membership was removed there with my few 5 posts' participation and the invitation I got from owner here, the same who put me out. I just entered there, otherwise there would not be a sense, just because I got an invitation first, i registered, even when I participated in one Regional Aircraft project and even visited several airplanes and Vip Aircrafts. So, if it turns dropping people off from there, without a reason, how do you expect an increase and movement in the forum there? :p This forum there seems a dead born one. How do you expect to be this action a serious one ? Pilots do not have time to participate in a hobby like this, neither they do care. From the about 350 members only, almost had none, nothing, interest. People, Forum is a hobby, not a serious information source.

Perhaps this opinion is why your membership was removed?

    Hi,

So now you are an expert in what Pilots do with their WWW time.

Have you signed up for Bladeslapper or PPRU to see what they do?

    Well MKM,

I suppose you deserve an explanation. The following is a post in YF's Mod Only forum, where we discuss the best way to handle situations. We have a thread devoted entirely to you!

And last MKM, you know NOTHING about running a forum. I took some time off in August to rest after months of working around the clock to launch JF. If you think people just automatically start posting on a new forum, you're dead wrong! It takes months - even years - of knowledgeable people contributing to the collective knowledge base before a forum hits momentum.

I haven't even started to post to JF yet, none-the-less promote it. That begins in October. Within a few years, JF may very well surpass YF in members and participation. And if you think pilots and owners don't like to chat online, then you know nothing about the many well propagated, aviation related forums on the net.

One more time MKM, you interject your uneducated opinion where it doesn't belong. I'll never forget your numerous emails to me when you originally registered at YachtForums, telling me how I should run YF. If you can do a better job... then bring it on!

    Soap box mode off.

We generally fly private to the islands, and commercial domestically. Last time to Chub I did chat with the pilot and co- on each leg about forums. They all said that forums are one of the best sources for information, rumors, service, and work leads today. Particularly with the advent of software like iLog for iPad flight logging and filing of flight plans, they are more attached to electronics than papers they have to shuffle around and throw away.

None had heard of JF but each said they would check it out.

The numbers speak for themselves. Almost without exception, our members here at YF appreciate that you, and your most capable mods, run this with an Iron Hand. Too many forums have gone by the wayside for letting flame wars and other distractions go un-checked.

Please don't let the rantings of a few disgruntled posters give you the impression that you and your team are not appreciated for all of the hard work that it takes to keep this a truly professional place to gather information from those "in-the-know".

Many thanks for all that you do,
    ROCKY

That's a good sign. It means the bots are crawling the pages.
Carl knows / can see it in the back end and which search engines are indexing the site.

    Content, content, content.

Exactly Jasen. Content is key, but coding is critical too. Ron has been doing a superb job gathering content. In Nov/Dec, I'll begin promoting JF, but not before sufficient content is in place. Anything less would be wasting the time of potential posters.

As some of YF's Senior Members know, I posted under multiple screen names in the early years, hoping to attract other like-minded members. Fortunately, a few of you guys fell for my BS and joined in. Not sure I can duplicate the same with JF. I simply don't have the same expertise, but we have some very good coding.

I'm committed to getting JF airborne. In 2013, I'm spending a big shill to acquire a mailing database of 70,000 N numbers; mostly jet and turboprop owners. I'm confident we can get some momentum going by summer. Hard to say when (or if) it will reach critical mass, but I'm going to enjoy the flight none-the-less.

Speaking of flights, I've got one to catch right now. Logging off...
