At this moment, in many ways, London is a center of the world. Incredibly interesting city in terms of traffic, and the Olympic Games, have made it even more attractive. I was thinking how nice it would be to attend some Olympic events live, but I am sure that the vast majority of the time, I would spend among London's docks and airports.
And those yachts ...they look really wonderful, scattered over the ´water´ streets of London, hidden in the shadows of tall, modern buildings...amazing.

    Nice regards

Well guess who is still in Barcelona? That's right Eclipse!

I must say that after all the hype and buildup about yachts coming to the Olympics I am a little disappointed at how few actually ended up attending.

Hopefully now that London has gotten on superyacht's radar more boats will make London a regular stop during the season.

On that last pic, is Harle surrounded by brown water?

No, it is the reflection of the photographer on the window.

UH?, I can see the almost square reflections in the lower picture, but the upper pic, the blem looks fluid, not square. I would hope it's a strange reflection, but it does looks strange.

I do love the pics and the variety of yachts that made the trip. I remember the Atlanta Olympics, There was a few events in the Savannah area. Allot of boaters made it up that way and had a great time.

Largest ship ever in West India Dock (Canary Wharf)

Although, this is not about any of the superyachts, I thought it might be interesting...

Largest ship to ever come, to West India Dock (Canary Wharf), has arrived for London Olympics. The 175,30 m (575,1 feet) long, 23 m (75,5 feet) wide, cruise ship MS Deutschland, which is used by the German Olympic Committee, only fitted into the lock in the Docklands with inches to spare. The official “German Ship London 2012” is in close proximity of the German House located in the Museum of London Docklands.
Teams from the Canal & River Trust who owns the dock, worked with the Thames’ Port of London Authority, to bring the vessel in, safely to her berth in South Quay.
