    In our Spring Lake MI marina early this morning, this little SUV first slammed backwards into a Cat loader, then made a beeline for the river. She jumped the boardwalk and made a perfect one point bow landing.

    Could be a fine "Oops Pics and Quotes" candidate.

    Anyone notice the spare tire lettering and license plate... EcoTrek Fitness. Looks like the SUV was as fit as the owner! Leaping docks, boats, etc. Helluva a bow ornament! :D

    If you look the stern is out of the water and it is definatley down by the head

    No kidding! I'm surprised at the lack of damage!! Granted, structural rigidity rises exponentially at points of triangulation, but this wasn't simply static weight. This was an impact.

    The car had enough airspeed to touch one wheel across the deck, then slam into the dock, where it was lifted back a bit and spun clockwise. You can see by the tire marks further up the deck.

    Other than the rail and some misc. minor rash, the boat is untouched.

    She was also surprisingly stable as they loosened the lines and climbed on the car with lift straps and chains. Took 15 minutes to have the car back on terra firma with a HD boom truck.

    strangely, there is also no visible damage from the hot exhaust coming into contact with grp for at least 15-30 mins ...
