To those who expressed an interest in the replacement Post Hatches.I did indeed find the note with the gentelmens name and my wife called the number this morning. The number was a work number and unfortunatly my wife was informed the person passed away two weeks ago at the young age of 62.God speed.

The woman who answered the phone knew about the mold but it was a side project for the gentelmen. She was gracious enough to offer to ask around the shop to see if anybody has any more information and will get back to us.

On another note. This past weekend while out on my Post I smelled smoke and after upon inspection found the starboard engine turbo blanket( which must be really old) was the cause. Does anyone know were I could source a new blanket for 6-71TI's ? I have a call into Johnson and Tower but my mechanic said they might be hard to find.Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Tim

Thanks for the site info as I was not having a lot of luck so far!

Wouldn't it be pretty easy to make your own mold off of an existing hatch?

I fabricated a two part mold and assembled three of them with 1/2 '' plexiglass. The originals were heat molded lexand with a wooden seating insert painted finish and rubber gasket. I still have the molds if you are intrestea some hatches, PM me.

hatches are 20 x 20 at the wide end of receiver where the seal meets. 22 1/2 x 22 1/2 to outer edge.
