Hello, I am new to forums. Was wondering if anybody can tell me if there is a trick to accessing the inside of the swim platform on my 1994 38 Santego. I would like to add a transom shower. Where can I find a used factory shower hatch. Also am wondering about a larger compartment for a transfer pump hose for fueling the dinghy. Thanks for any help.

Adding a transom shower is pretty straight forward. Access to the water lines is in the aft portion of the bilge. Usually, there are 15mm plastic lines, easily cut and tapped into with a 'T'. The shower box can be purchased on line from just about any marine supplier (check Defender and Overtons). Cut an area out for the box, plumb the lines, seal in place with 5200.

Given the size dinghy you'd have with that boat I wouldn't mess setting up a gas pump. Between the cost and the dangers I'd be more inclined to stick with 3 gal. cans.

In addition to construction detail of the bolt-on swim platform, does anyone have any details/blueprints of the stringer and bulkhead layout for a 1994 santego 380. Trying to figure out why water will collect in the center salon hatch and not travel to the engine room bilge aft. Thanks.

Because that's the lowest point of the boat when settled in the water. The aft is actually a bit more shallow than midship is.
