    Yacht Explosion

It was just reported on CBS that a yacht with 21 persons on board has exploded 17 miles east of Sandy Hook, NJ. First reports that there are injuries, but no info on the degree. All persons are reported as having left the vessel. CG is on its way to the scene.

    Blind Date?

Fox just reported the name of the yacht was - "Blind Date..."

    Would that be the Trinity?

I would assume so considering the Heesen is off the coast of Spain at the moment.

There's coverage with the helicopters coming in at nbcnewyork.com. I would post the link but, again, this is from my iPhone.

NBC New York has it as well.

Trinity I think is Blind Date II.. There is also a Lurssen Blind Date.

    I think the Trinity.

It's not the Heesen. I can't find the Lurssen on MT. My bet is the Trinity.

CBS New York also has a live feed awaiting the boats to come in with better audio.

Is it me or does that sound like a lot of people on board? I know there could be guests with crew, but if out for a cocktail/evening cruise, 17 miles seems pretty far. If on charter, would there be that many?
Wondering if it could be some other type of craft, like a fishing boat.

Well, she has a crew of ten and says she can charter 10/12 so seems right to me.

News chopper says there hasn't been contact with any people from the incident yet.

As of yet, no wreckage, no life rafts found? I'm starting to wonder if this is some sort of prank? They were not able to give a location before abondoning ship? I'm sure they had epirbs on board which should have gone off when it sank. Also, if this ship is classed, what would cause an explosion of this magnitude to sink a 150 foot ship. The only thing I can think of on board would be gasoline for the tender/s. I don't think classed ships that charter can have propane on board? Any ideas?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! The Trinity was loaded onto Dockwise today in Fort Lauderdale. Here is a picture, Blind Date is on the left (The Trinity). For some reason it won't let me load attachments.....I'll start a new thread for the Dockwise SuperServent4 loadings/pictures today.
