Thanks alot Rene!!! In your photos we can see that the door in the aft of the hull is either a tender docking and boarding station or a 'small' fold down terrace to maybe a beach club?

Very nice yacht, but would look nicer with a longer LOA. Its style seems to me like a mix between eclipse and pelorus. Looks like a high volume a bit compressed in its 147 meters. I doubt it is a coincidence that the Saudi royal yacht, Prince Abdullazziz, is that same length. In SA, the size of your yacht should loosely follow your seniority in the royal family (chance are you don't have a yacht if you are not royal family), and of course the king's should be the biggest. Al Salamah, the second biggest yacht in the world in terms of volume, is shorter than Prince Abdulazziz, but has a massive width of 24 (!) meters. So my guess is this is a saudi yacht.

    Topaz propulsion

Does anybody know what kind of propulsion Topaz has? Is it powered by multiple units of diesel generators, CODAG, CODAD...or any other configuration? And what type of engines or turbines?

    Best regards to everyone

Thank you!! There is still much covered on her unfinished exterior... I am very curious when they will take away the protection films...

Perhaps she is actually designed by (Stefano) Natucci with an interior by Zuretti?

It is not Natucci, I got the confirmation that her exterior designer is Tim Heywood, I have no information regarding her interior designer.

My source as they are doing rolling updates, I think.

Believe me, my source is absolutly reliable even if I can not divulge it.

However "Topaz" was on first trials yesterday... pretty surprising she was launched a month ago and 2weeks ago it seemed that much exterior work has to be done yet. But since than things changed and everthing seems to be in place like the SOLAS tenders...she is a very good looking overal design but her satdomes look indeed odd.

Those domes do not do her design justice! Hideous almost! The rest of the design is very pleasing though. Got to love the anchor pocket doors!

Wow, she's literally larger than some cruise vessels, namely 2 out of 3 ships in the Windstar cruise line. She must feature a lot of amenities, such as a spa, gym and 3-level shopping mall with escalators.

Even if I had the money, I'm not sure I'd have a use for such a large vessel. She is beautiful, though.

Is it wrong that I think those lifeboat/tenders are beautiful? They look so sleek.

Also found on O'mega. They don't look bad unless compared to other limo type tenders, yet they are still impressive in my book being SOLAS compliant.

Great photos Captain!! You have been pretty lucky to meet her... she is a beast, look at her ginormous stern and her huge flag pole! It is a pity that her Sat-domes stand out that much, she would look much better.
What are you doing in north Germany, should you not be in the Med?;)
