I am looking to purchase a new boat as my first boat. Our primary goal is to cruise around and eventually, once fully trianed, take trips to the keys and the bahamas.

My wife and I have narrowed our search to the Tiara 44 and the Azimut 46. I am looking for any feed back as to any experiences with either boat. I have heard ONLY great things regarding the Tiara boats, but I am wondering if the Azimut will provide similar perfromance as we are able to purchase the Azimut 46 at a lower price point.

    Thanks.

Go for the Tiara a well built boat. Azimut is a lot mor glitz than substance.

Thanks Paul. I've been trying to convince my wife, but she likes the Azimut look better. Wish me luck.

No experience here. Just from looking at the catalog info my brain picks the Tiara. However the rest of my body parts would happily sell the brain to get the Azimut. So I do understand your wife's view :)

On a more practical note, you did say "first boat". In such cases I think it is very important to go with a good dealer. Whatever the brand may be. ALL dealers will certainly promise to "take care of you". That line goes with the territory. Still it's worthwhile to check into the dealer's reputation for yourself.
