Does anyone know who Cabo uses for their bound carpet. Need to replace the salon piece that lays over the teak & holley floor. I've called Cabo but the person I need to speak with is on vacation.

I would go to your local carpet dealer. Just take the old piece with you and they should be able to match it. Cabo is going to charge you an arm and a leg if they supply it. I have done this many times over the years and have had great results.

I don't know who they use to bind the carpet. However, any really good Canvas shop can get the carpet and have it bound like the factory carpet. You could also order the factory carpet from Cabo, but I'm not sure how well it would price out compared to a local company. I know with Searay's, the cockpit carpet is considerably cheaper from Searay, but not as good quality as the silicone backed stuff the local places use.

I use Boat Carpet by Custom Marine Carpet for all replacement pieces. If you find a piece locally that you like, PM me and I'll send you to a friend of mine that binds carpet.

If you still have my number from the upholstery work, feel free to call.

Hey, Patty, welcome to YF. You shouldn't expect to hear from m2m as the last time he logged in to YF was August 3, 2012.

I have replaced carpet on two Cabo's now. I prefer Fabrica and have been pleased with quality. I would recommend a good installer who can bind the salon carpet that goes on the teak and holly as well as apply a non slip backing. I use Velcro to hold down the carpet in staterooms and hallways down forward with a good pad underneath.

THIS. Cabo used Fabrica origionally. You need to find a really good installer familiar with boats, locally.

After replacing wall to wall carpet with teak & holy I saw no point in covering it with a lot more carpet so after hunting all over bought a carpet runner from Amazon seller that cuts to size and binds the edge. It was cheap, appropriate for boat and totally different then any carpet found locally.

Can you share a link to where you got that carpet runner please? I've had my canvas people make two of them and they are still not very good. I would love to find something better and maybe with a fun pattern.

Do a search on Fish print carpet, carpet runner, area rug. Alot of designs come up that might work for you.
