Hey Guy's, my dock Neighbor just called me and informed me that he will be selling his 43' Motor Yacht. Running and floating with dry bottom. twin 431's and onan gen.
Hull # RMX 43-115. This is a very rare model that was built with a soft top.
Only 34 of these Yachts were built in 60-61 this is #15. I own the last one #34
Ken(my neighbor )has decided to go looping in a trawler and will take any reasonable offer. I don't know how to proceed from here to get information out and will await instructions from the web master. This would be an excellent project. I have a couple of pics of this boat on another thread where are they now,and I will post more this weekend.....

Still, I wonder how many Sea Rays she's runn over, if only by mistake.
At over 12 tons, thatz gotta hurt - but not as much as my favorite steelie, the 52' complete with fuel efficient GM Deseasels - cough for the doctor now.
    Cheers!

Orestes, the interior has all been sanded to bare wood.Ken is a very meticulous captain. I am sure he would love to talk to you about his boat.
He loves the Roamer 43 almost as much as our family! :D
This would be a great opportunity to get into a great yacht for a small investment. I will have some pics Mon morning as I will see the boat over the weekend.
You can reach Ken @ 205.601.0823, this is his cell#, and the boat is located in the Alton IL. pool on the Mississippi river.

I love the new four color advertisment.
    Oh to answer your question;
2 Sea Rays, 4 Bayliners and 1 Galaxy. The Baja escaped unscathed

    1961 43' Steel Roamer

All, after a stern conversation from this forum Ken has decided not to sell his Roamer. I don't know from which member the tongue lashing came, but Thanks! Who can argue the quality and craftsmanship of a Roamer.
If things change I will correctly post with Pics.

:confused:So sorry to hear that. I was looking forwards to get some more details. I am not sure what the site is doing if we cannot freely exchange pictures and save the old Romies.

    Hi,

You might be confused. I am not aware of any restriction on what comms members can have with each other once a line of comms is established nor am I aware of any restriction on the Roamer revival threads

Orestes, please except my apology for causing such confusion.
The call from another member in conversation convinced Ken to
simply take another look at restoring his 43, and after some soul searching
he decided to do just that.
I think me showing him the brochures that where posted probably helped him make up his mind as well. Trust me when I tell you that Ken, although not computer savvy will do the Roamer name proud in his restoration. I will post his progress in a different thread.

What motors does your friend's 43 have and are the decks steel or teak?

    Best,

Well, it is a great looking boat and the right size. I love the express soft top look or the short hard top. If you look at 50's and 60's CC and Hats, so many were designed this way. Personally, I would keep that look... light, balanced, and I like the sun.

Image this 43' refit to look like the brochure pic with new 454s, and new teak decks. Show stopper!

I'm looking at a few 41' CC Commanders that are in great shape with teak interiors. I plan to remove the fly bridge and cut the hard top down to a short top... will have to play with right demensions.

    Hello,
I know that your neighbor has decided to keep his boat, but situations change, and I really want this model, please PM me if he changes his mind.
    Kind regards,
