Here is the rendering of the intended new building area.

The design studio Hot Lab presented a new 86meter design called
"PA 186" on for Oceanco .
    Looks really cool!
    Can't post the link.

Just found this brochure of Y708 on Oceanco's website. It has some cool interior renderings and the yacht's layout.

    http://www.****************/v3/y708_2010/

Is Y708 for sale because the way that it is presented on their site (only yacht in the intro/ own brochure/ lots of pictures) makes me wonder.

I believe that brochure has been posted for over a year. Perhaps she will be a charter yacht but I have not heard of her being for sale.

Not the most practical layout in the world, pretty poorly designed IMO. I'm guessing the build Captain wasn't around when they were drawn up :)

Only my humble opinion, and subject to only limited view of the detail, hard to read.
It just seems a bit of a rabbit warren, with lots of lost space in corridors and narrow spaces. The owners deck has an unusual layout, not much of a grand entrance into a closet area. Some owner's love the views from spaces up high, others don't like the movement. I know it's an alternate spot, but I'm sure the rescue boat and davit wouldn't be the nicest view to wake up to, backwards. Running machines above VIP cabins....hope they're insulated well. The crew areas also have some strange placements, but I guess it's likely that before launch they will be adjusted. Not sure how popular a crew lounge/gym?? would be next to the Captain's and opposite the senior officer's cabins :)
    She's a beauty though.....

I agree and why did they put the gym in the most prime real estate on the boat? Also, the master looks small for a boat this size with no owners office or his and her baths. I like the VIPs but then again they are kind of right next to one of the busiest parts of the boat with the bridge right in front of them.

Both valid points, I can see a few owners requests in the layout as well - Owners cabin with stern views and massage room... even though when one is using the massage room, there face is usually face down (so much for a good view).

Little puzzled with a tender on the owner's deck as well...? It also has a very similar layout as Alfa Nero (one of the other Y series). I think they will pull this off though. Cheers

Seems more like competition...this isn't that far off from Lurssen's website presentation in a way.

Do you mean a competition between Lürssen and Oceanco?

To my opinion Lurssen Site is better.:)
    More bright and more sophisticated.
I do not see any negatives in competition of MegaYacht Companies Sites.
The better Site - the better Image of the Company.
