That is the 124 meter "Katara " build by Lürssen yachts in 2010.

    She Is Katara

She is Katara and is currently leaving Port Everglades http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.aspx?mmsi=466066000&centerx=-80.05028&centery=26.09727&zoom=10&type_color=9 If you have never used marinetraffic.com it is a great resource for identifying and finding vessels of all types as long as they are equipped with AIS. The distance between the fenders of the SE 17st Bridge is around 120' so Katara at 19 meters could have fit through but finding dockage for something 124M x 19M x 5.6M may have been another story.

Could you imagine her making the turns going down to Bahia Mar? I've seen those markers (on steel I-beams) knocked over a few times by boats 1/4 that size.

    Katara Is Back

Katara is back from her cruise earlier today which lasted about 5 hours. If you go to http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/default.aspx?level0=100 and zoom in on Port Everglades she is on the face dock East of SE 20th St. Left click on the fuscha square then left click on Show Vessels Track and you will see where she went. If you then click on the vessel icons on the track it will show speed, heading and time. Perhaps testing some work done on equipment?
