Hi All, I'm a newbee here looking for some advice. I'm looking at buying the above and want to moor it down in Playa Blanca in Lanzarote, where my second home is. However it only has a range of 250NM, and i don't know how to go about finding where and how to arrange fuel on the passage as i don't speak any Arabic or French.

I'm thinking of a route of:- from Malaga to Rabat which is approx 220NM, then Rabat to Safi which is approx 180NM, then Safi to Agadir which is approx 145NM. From Agadir either down to Sidi Infi which is 70NM, then from Sidi Infi to Playa Blanca which is 195NM. Ideally i'd like to go from Agadir straight across to PB but it's 245NM which is very close to the max range of the boat.

So i have a number of questions really.

    1. Would i be better deck loading 4-6 45 gallon drums to refill the tanks on route?
    2. How would i go about oraganising fuel in the ports i've mentioned, all except Sidi Infi do have yachting marinas?

    3. I've requested a couple of quotes from 3 different transport companies, and 2 have said they don't go to Lanzarote, so does anyone know a ship transporter that would?

    4. The quoted range for the boat with the Volvo D12 engine is 250NM and has tanks size of 2138 litres. is there any other way to extend the range of the boat?

    5. Are there any sunseeker owners here that can give me the ideal rpm/speed to maximize my range further?

    6. Where is cheaper for fuel, Gib, Tanger, or elsewhere on my route?

Ideally i'd like to hear from anyone who has motored down to The Canaries themselves as it is my preferred option, and would be a good way to get to know my new boat. I would be hiring a crew to come with me as it's a number of years since if sailed, albeit i previously did run a Princess 42. It is approx 750NM Trip according to Google Earth.

Hope someone can Help, and all advice would be very welcome!!

Why not send an email to Sunseeker or simply pick up the phone

It's a private sale, and from previous experience, I've always got more accurate information from real world users in forums rather than the manufactuers. Sorry you couldn't help

You can increase the range exponentially by running at hull speed instead of on plane. Probably around 8 knots on that boat, maybe less. You can also bring fuel drums and transfer fuel underway, however it can be a chore if it's rough.
