    Hi all,

I heard from an older interview that a new 87meter yacht form Espen Oenio is his from himselve drawn
favourite yacht , he said that the yacht is special.
So my question is , does anybody have any informations
(yard ,delivery etc..) about that yacht , 'cause I am very interested in my favourite designers favourite yacht

Hope you understood my question , bad english ;)

Are you talking about Valerie...87m, designed by Espen Oenio...?

I doubt he could afford an 87m... maybe 87 feet...?

He must have said it was his favourite yacht, not his yacht. But I doubt Valerie is his favourite as it is a copy-paste from some Heywood and RWD designs. His favourite designs of his own, must be Skat and Silver...

I would hate to think anyone who uses that style of sheer line, are now going to be someone who stole off Heywood. Personally, I think Heywood's quality is in his detail... not his sheerline.

The sheerline is not typical Heywood, but the rounded air intakes on top and the birdbaths on the bridge deck is pretty typical of his.

Lars... we are de-railing this topic :D

At the end of the day I'm not sure if Espen Oenio is getting an 87m... if he is... I'll try and get a job with his studio ;)

    Justus,

If you translate the conversation, the 87m is a project for a client from the Eastern part of the world, and the "Skat"-style expedition yacht is one that he would build for himself "if he had unlimited funds" (as suggested by the interviewer  )

    Yes I know , I don't have to translate , I am german .
Didn't said that the 87 meter yacht looks like Skat ,
it was only an idea from me.

    Sorry,

I misunderstood your comment - thought you meant that he was building it for himself

Haven't read the article yet, but maybe he's talking about Project Freedom (even though that is only supposed to be 84m)...
