    Hi,

Lars, I didn't think he had morphed into a 15 yr old kid, it must be some of those dangerous chemicals in use at the yard I guess.

Lurssen has launched Valerie (ex. Project Firebird). She looks great imo.

    Hi,

Why don't you ask some of your ex or current colleagues what the story is?

    Crash at Lurssenwerft

    Hi,

I have been made aware that there has been a pretty unusual crash at the Vegesack side of operations this morning.

I was sent a link to it.

Is "Valerie" on her sea trials or inside of the docks?

    @ K1W1: Thanks for sharing :)

    Hi,

I am told that the floating dock that took the hit was empty and was being prepared to receive it's next hull when this happened.

The "Valerie" is not at the Lurssen yard where this accident happened on the Weser River.

    Oops.

The voice on that clip is hauntingly familiar for some reason. Are there Antipodeans giving English lessons to German river dwellers in that area?

Marmot - you have such an incredible way with words. Your knowledge is one thing, your means of conveying it is just awesome!

Wasn't Valerie supposed to have a black hull?

Surely I'm not the only one to see the irony of this image...

Project Firebird was showcased with a black hull in renderings but do remember that the hull colour can change during the build process according to what the owner wants. Project J-24 (now "Phoenix2") had a black hull in some earlier renderings. Her final colour is a kind of ash grey. Lots of things go on behind the scene that you would not be aware about so it should be no surprise that a yacht's colour might be different to what you see in renderings.

TV and Polar Star have left Rybovich. Anyone have any pictures of the two with their new paint colors?
