    Nasty.

But good work by the tow guys and the fire fighters.

Looks like Sailfish Marina, along the Manatee Pocket in Stuart.

Nasty indeed. Good that they were able to tow that Bertram out of the way. I bet that yellow hull sf and it's neighbors that the burning boat drifted over in front of sustained a bit of damage as well. Anyone know what kind of boat it was?

Looks like Carl is totally correct. There is now another video confirming this.

They look like quite an impressive fire dept.

Based on the sheer and what you can see of the salon window, my best guess is Island Boat Works. A quick check of the documented vessel database suggests this may be correct... however I am loathe to say for certain. If it is the boat I think it is, she has been under new ownership for just a couple of months.

    Good job by the firefighters.

Thanks. I did that search as well and saw Island bw, but my doubt was if I had the name right. I wasn't sure if that last letter on the transom was a "K" or "H". It certainly looks like an Island bw given the sheer and salon window as you pointed out. Eitherway that's ashame. I hope he was insured!

The K is correct. There is another photo posted on the internet with what is left of the boat in slings. Lisa K, Wickford RI

Wonder what the salvage reward will be for the Tow boat operator. He certainly saved the first boat he towed out and probably half the marina by towing the Lisa K off of the other boats.

Why do people like to stand and watch even when the burning shell drifted towards the ones tied up ...

Those filming never showed any care , decency or Initative any decent boat owner would at least attempted something instead stand and watch and film they would have attempted something at least instead of filming .. and low behold the typical American Cinematic response [ no offence intended ] when aanother boat appeared and saves the day .. they clap !!!

    Dear Colin,

For a traveler, you haven't been around much. Have you ever stood ANYWHERE near the vicinity of a fiberglass boat engulfed by fire? From 100 feet, you feel the heat. At 50 feet, the heat is so extreme, you can't face it for more than a few seconds. Lest not we forget several hundred gallons of diesel fuel waiting to ignite.

Kudos to the Martin County Fire Department and the TowBoatUS operator. Much braver people than Monday morning quarterbacks.

The yellow hulled one is the 55' Jarrett Bay Micabe. I'm not sure about the other one however.
