You see a lot of amateur designs on this forum, but few of them have been realized, so here's one in Montreal. (the last image is the actual picture taken at the dock) What do you guys think about this one?
I think that boat was the one that started to sink on launching. They had to add the chambers along the side to get the flotation right. Big thread on another forum about it before it got deleted.
Best candidate for the Rogues thread EVER. (added) Rolf, I have attached your images to YF's server. In the future, please do not hot-link images. The host could replace them with something even scarier.
It's embarrassing that it is in Montreal. And yeah... it definitely looks like that one from Youtube a couple of years back that listed/nearly sank when it was first launched. Ugh!!
Should have been possible to do something nice with tht hull instead. Who did that? And what did they smoke when they made the drawings?
Marmot, brutal as per usual Rolf, I probably wouldn't touch this one, unless I had a pretty good chainsaw, not joking. It has to loose a lot of weight, it's looking pretty unsafe. That duckboard is giving away a pretty big hint. I'm guessing the new owners have built on top of an existing hull...? Cheers Far
That boat in post #1 started out life as a Chris craft. It's extemely hard to tell as the hull was lengthened and the house was rebuilt etc etc. That boat should be the new definition of Molestation. A friend sent me a link to a discussion on this boat yrs ago and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The thread eventually was deleted. The story was along the lines that the owners did NOT want to spend the money and hire a navel architect and hence you get this homemade monster. Notice the sponsons on the side? LOL The last I heard it's available for charter. Actually it was built to use as a charter business. At least according the thread at the time.
