    Has Anyone Seen Buddy Davis

CaptTom...great images! In your wandering around the docks, did you run into boatbuilder Buddy Davis? Have not seen much from him or his company in a while. Do hope he is still afloat these days. Cheers and keep bringing on more photos from the show. Thanks!!

Sadly, Buddy left us in late January at the tender age of 62.

CaptTom, yet again awesome photos. The JB46 is not to bad of a setup with the down stairs helm... cruiser and a battlewagon, nice.

As for the captains job.... I believe there's a line :D

    RIP Buddy

HONGKONG...many thanks for the info. Had not read that in any other
boating mags or sites. RIP Buddy.

His sportfishers are all over the world. A real beauty is in Tahiti, and
    fishes many billfish events.

At the wheel, my top is 118 (with 20' of Allison Kevlar beneath and 370HP of Merc behind me) but as a ride-along, my top is 157. It's less dramatic than most would think, particularly if you have a flat to slight chop day and the ride is up high and dry as it should be.

When you run those kinds of speeds, you've got 2-3 prop blades and the lower units in the water, plus maybe a foot to a few feet of hull wet at most. Flotsam might break the motors, but you'll still float if you don't flip.

It's the flipping or flying it that is the problem. LOL
