Actually K1W1, you are right, they are 'some persons' personal collection of the Nirvana launch. I have seen them already in private and was told not to post them. So I do not understand how that link surfaced. But if it were me I would encourage it to be taken down as maybe if the owner sees them, the entire set of pics may be taken down from the internet period! So, I do not know what Carl thinks about that?

Okay, so now the Nirvana hype has died down somewhat, maybe it is time to feature another vessel.

A collaboration between Tripp Design and Green Marine Builders led to the construction of a project known as 'Sunshine'. She is not yet completed but is scheduled to be launched in Summer, 2008.

Sunshine is a fast cruising lift-keel sloop in build for Vitters. The hull and other compostite structures were built at Green Marine and she will be finished off at the Vitters NLD yard.

The Sunshine sailer is 128 feet in length and carries a generous 27.49 foot beam. The draught is variable as the keel can be lifted or lowered. Lifted, the Sunshine will carry a draught of about 12.47 feet. When sailing it increases to over 19 feet.

With 7,535 sq ft of sail to be had, the 135 tonne Sunshine will be propelled at a rapid rate, leaving thrills and spills for those onboard. There will be an addition in that she will be built of composite materials, resulting in a light but strong sail yacht.

Below, there will accommodation for the guest and crew alike. Four guest cabins will be available to guests and also crew accommodations will be made available. The vessel has been envisioned to be thrusted into the charter market as well as for private usage.

"Sarissa"

Vitters has another yacht besides the "Marie" and "Lady B" in construction. The new yacht is a 42-meter composite sloop called "Sarissa". Tripp Design is once again in-charge of the Naval Architecture and she will be delivered in 2011.

In some industry news, apparently Vitters has acquired majority shares in Green Marine. Anyone has more information on this?

Vitters "Lady B"...

"Lady B" has been launched by Vitters. Does anyone have any photos? If so you can post here while adhering to the forum's rules for picture sizes. That is, 640 X 480 pixels.

The "Marie" will launch very soon actually scheduled for nearing the end of this month (June 2010). Remember she is a Hoek Design of 55-meters.
