There seems to be a shortage of qualified Captains for large jet driven MY's. Where would one look for such a person?

    Hi,

Is there a specific qualification issued to cover Jet Boats?

I do happen to know one of the ex Skippers of Ecstacea ( 282 Ft) who is between numbers right now.

Please PM Me if you would like their contact details.

Add my contact to the list.

A very highly experienced jet boat captain who is also a superb engineer has just finished a contract and is available.

Oilfield. Lot of big jet drive crew boats, that's where I learned.

    Captains for Jet Drives

I have owned three jet drive boats, two being yachts. If you want a referral for captains I can put you in touch with one of our service partners. I contacts that certainly can help. Feel free to email me. Best regards.

    Jet Capt.

Thanks for the return, we are in a hold at the present, but I will put your name in my file for a follow up. The boat may move to Beaufort, NC. Does your file reach that far north?

    Thanks again,

Ecstasea only uses a water jet as a booster. It maneuvers via props.

As far as maneuvering characteristics go ... yes, it doesn't count as a jet drive boat.

Having a helicopter onboard doesn't make a yacht an LPH.
