Wet exhaust hoses

    I'm am pretty new to boating. I'm in the process of changing some of the wet exhaust hoses. I have a 36ft Pacific bluefin with twin 440 Chrysler's Can anyone recommend a good quality hose. I have been looking at Trident Blue Corra-Sil. I do have some pretty tight bends, so I'll need something flexible.
    There are a lot of new products, which is the best and will last.

    If you have tight bends and such, stay away from the blue silicone hoses. Use a good marine wet exhaust hose with wire (to help with crushing at the bends), and you should get 7+ years out of it. Trident makes a good one as do others.

    In the "Withstood the Test of Time" group, Shields makes the hose and Vernay makes the various (FRP) elbows and bends.

    Which I found worked extremely well when replacing the exhaust hose on my own 48' "trawler." A selection of glass elbows and 45s makes life so much simpler and it takes the strain off the hose.

    Yeah, but it's ohhhh so much cheaper to just use hose. You don't have to buy extra hose clamps and FRP elbows. Only replace the hose 3 times as often.

    However, using the FRP elbows to make the bends and keeping the hose straight does work better and makes the hose last a heck of a lot longer. It is the way to go if you have the room and means to do it.
